The Gary Rose Home Inspections project was a simple redesign with a quick turn around. We completed the design in one week and the priliminary SEO in another week.
The project was completed at minimal cost to the client and has already showed positive results.
At Hungry Ghost Design, we are mindful of the limited digital marketing budgets of many of our clients. We work hard to keep costs as low as possible, while providing full-featured functionality.
When he hired Hungry Ghost Design, Gary had a static HTML website built with Dreamweaver in 2009. It was not optimized for search and was illegible on mobile devices. As a result, his referrals were primarily word-of-mouth, and his online visibility was practically nonexistent.
Gary had recently experienced a steep dropoff in new business. He wanted to step up his web presence by improving the design and indexability of his website.
Hungry Ghost Design to the rescue
Gary reached out to Hungry Ghost Design when he searched for a local web developer on Google. He was impressed by our previous work and that we specialize in mobile design, digital marketing, and local search optimization for small businesses.
Based on our experience, static websites don’t allow for fast and efficient updates to content or code, are not readily optimized for search, and have no way of storing information about contacts or leads. Therefore, in close collaboration with Gary, we decided to port his existing content to a content management system (CMS).

Timeline and cost
The Gary Rose Home Inspections website took one week to complete at a cost of $500.
Preliminary results are encouraging. Currently, Gary Rose Home Inspections ranks on the first page of organic search results for keywords “Northeast Massachusetts Home Inspections” and third for “Central Massachusetts Home Inspections.” Analytics shows a steady rise in page hits since the site went live.
Hungry Ghost Design will continue to track the website’s SEO performance and support Gary in his efforts to promote his business. We will tweak copy and on-page SEO as needed in response to Gary’s reports of changes in referrals. We expect to see 100% ROI with three months.
